Anti-Epileptic Treatment

There's been a change in the natural history of status epilepticus over the last several years where we've gotten more aggressive about treating an upfront. We intibate p patients earlier, but oftentimes they spend less time on the ventilator. Once you get to finobarb and medaz at big doses, we're talking about weaning over days to weeks. So if you can avoid that for the patient's benefit, that's the best.
