I'm Puerto Rican, but I Don't Say It Because It's Not in My Blood
I think a big part of it for me too is I don't speak Spanish. It's something that I'm very familiar with. I just never learned how to properly speak or proper grammar. That creates some sort of disconnect. And even now, I think Latin representation in media is so weak and really could use a big push.
