I'm not a football fan, so I probably wouldn't have been watching the Qatar World Cup anyway. But I won't anyway now even by getting me another reason not to. The list of institutions, companies in this country that Qatar owns, it's so long, you wouldn't believe it. And even the current king, not long ago when he was Prince Charles, took a couple of million quid and used banknotes in shopping bags and suitcases from a former Prime Minister of Qatar.
