The Effects of the Consumer Price Cap on Residential Consumers

The offer cap was lowered because in addition to people losing power, the wholesale price of electricity was $9,000 for days. And so ultimately that means that this filters down to consumers. Retailers don't have a choice. We have to serve the demand. They allowed them to continue to buy at an extremely high prices.
