The First Interview Process at Etsy
You start off by just sending in your resume and a cover letter explaining who you are. Then somebody from recruiting will reach out to you to set up an initial phone screening. We at Etsy are very big on making sure that first you're a great programmer. You can code. That's what we do day to day. But we also really stress the importance of being able to communicate with people and being a good personable person.
