I think that if one were to seek a history of black Marxism, I don't think that by the title this this text actually offers that. The problem however is when Robinson is talking about the conditions for the transatlantic slave trade almost the entirety of his discussion of that is focused on dynamics within Europe. There's very little discussion for example of the dynamics within the African continent which enabled crucially a technology not something from outside imposed upon Africans of different.
