The Limits of the Study

There were 86 special ops forces veterans who self selected themselves to go to this treatment facility in Mexico which essentially advertises itself to be specific for special special forces treatment. About half of them had problematic alcohol use with in some cases a mild TBI that historically makes engagement in any longer term therapeutic intervention more tricky especially anything that's cognitively focused. There may still be significant barriers to accessing mental health care especially stateside interacting with the VA system.
