I think we kind of sometimes get too caught up on this dead mall image. There is still a class of highly successful malls like Westfield century city in LA that are still doing major renovations. The natural process of the amount of shopping in America actually aligning with the number of shoppers. And seeing those often combined with housing and then an open air mall.
