Can Social Media Play a Role in Research?

I would just be aware of potential bots or individuals misrepresenting themselves and also the pros and cons of getting a larger sample versus getting data that you know is trustworthy. There are some companies out there who offer verified online participants who have been pre-screened, such as prolific. But these are ongoing challenges and there are many other incidents like that that could make a person very hesitant to participate. I do feel it's extremely important to give results back to the community. And I really strongly believe that we need to do a better job of that.
