The Zionist militias had what were called village files, which was basically just early intelligence on the amount of Palestinians in each village. Palestinian villages would tell other Palestinian villages and that people would get news from neighboring villages saying that this village was attacked, so they're coming. And so that's how people ended up fleeing because the colonial violence had reached them or had reached the neighboring village.
