Do You Think That a Noise Audit Is a Criminal Offence?
In France about 18 months or two years, maybe three years ago now, a law was passed giving access to judicial information. The provision of that law makes it a criminal offense punishable by five years in prison to make the sort of noise audit that we're describing public. So if you analyze the public, information will be made available publicly but if you use it for individual level predictive purposes which is a bit fuzzy in the way it's described in the law, that's a crime punishable by 5 years in prison. But I don't think personally as a citizen that suppressing the right to analyze this information is the answer.
