The food system is responsible for 30% of global greenhouse gas emissions. It's the most polluting sector in the world, uses a lot of water and degrades soils. As we drive the climate, what does that do? That immediately changes where we can grow the right sorts of crops. And it disrupts over time local agricultural systems. But perhaps more insidiously, of course, as the climate changes, so does the weather.
