The Problem Statement and the Calibration Discussions
LinkedIn has focused on both grooming fairly senior talent internally, but also hired people from the outside to plug those gaps. So our job is to identify such talent, get aligned with what problems we want to solve in these areas and let them do their thing. I found over building products that feature creep is a human trait, right? Like you go off, you're like, okay, let's solve that. That would be cool. And so being able to focus on that problem statement and doing only what's necessary to achieve the solution is super important.
