The Importance of Prophecy

Prophecy is a good practice of bad practice I mean obviously profits in the scripture predict what happens but it seems to have like a an aim of some kind. For instance if it's Agabus predicting a famine that's going to come over the entire Roman world X chapter 11 or 13 I think it's 11. It leads to a response of like oh they're taking up offerings from different churches and saying okay let's we're going to provide for the poor so like it's leading in a specific direction.
