During world war one in russia, 25% of the men were sent out to battle with no weapons. There were rising food prices, which led conflict between the city and the countryside. The bolsheviks exploited all this. Lennon is going to raise money for his revolutionaries through bank robberies. It's interesting that only one worker ever sat on the board of lenon's party, and he turned out to be a police spy.
