The princess asked her husband to let the monk go. The king looked over his own wounds and said he could just get humans wherever. If they wanted to go around back and find their master, they could. He's already on the road. Oh, and if they ever returned to his territory, he would kill them both without hesitation. They were going to get the princess back.
