The Importance of Timing in Maternal Mortality
The social aspect of Black skin is that you have an equitable relationship with racism, right? It's this idea that people think about it biologically, but actually it's social in terms of how you are treated by our system. And so I think it needs to be named that even within maternal deaths, there is a window of time where they're even more preventable.
