The Challenge of Decarbonising the Economy
Mike Kennan Brooks says Australia needs to decarbonise the economy completely by 2050. The first 50% is relatively easily and entirely doable today's technologies, he says. Then you've got kind of the last 20 years to get rid of that last 10%. It doesn't actually get any easier to start in 2040, Mr Brooks adds. He believes we should have the cheapest power in the world if we don't take advantage now.
