Your mind is masterful at spotting the unknown, because that could be danger. That could be threat. That could have been annihilation. It has to scan your environment, searching for threats, danger and anything unknown. Think about that time when you received a a hundred emales, and 99 of them were fantastic, and one of them wasn't.
