The excitement of actually climbing a mountain and then seeing a whole new valley that you didn't know existed certainly motivates me. The one thing I want to highlight here is my pie, which is a static type checker for Python but it's still mostly Yuka Leto-Solo's creation. We're using this at Dropbox, and we have over 400,000 lines of annotated code in code base that totals over 4 million lines of code.
