Parenting - How to Set a Boundary

If your child wants to ride school in the pick up truck instead of the car, make sure it's one you really want to set. The more we teach kids to argue with us, the more we teach them that no means yes so or no means maybe and if i bug long enough, i'll get a yes. So our kids learn that we don't mean we say that we're push overs. And then the balance of power can definitely become not just more equal, but a lot of times i gets flipped where the kids are kind of calling shots.
