Mercury's Geology - What's So Remarkable?

Geology on mercury just has really enraptured me over the past 20 years as i've got involved in the mission. Ocan you look at it and it's craters across the surface, looking like the moon. But in detail, it's not like the moon at allt the moon's got these bright areas, veluna highlands which are rocks or crystals that floated towards the surface when the moon was molten. On mercury, we don't have the bright highlands. Everything is dark. It's bas lava flow af to basalt. Lava flow af to Basalt lava flow. We now realize bhat the rock on mercury is rich in volatile elements. And
