Plato's Letters to Dion
We haven't talked about plato's letters, but there are letters of plato which we have in manuscript form. And they have been called under all sorts of questions, whether they are legitimate or not. This is one of the ones that is perhaps more likely to be legitimate, because it seems like an open letter. So let me just read you a portion of this, of this epistle seven, because it speaks again to the portrait of the tyrant that we get in book nine of the republic.
