Derek Jarman is always one of my go-to artists. Derek Jarman wrote Modern Nature which is his diary about building the garden at Dungeness. He also he wrote a fantastic book called Chroma which is like a meditation on colour. I love memoirs by artists but novels sort of set in the art order was feel like they they get things wrong or they miss the points.I don't think I'm a massive fan of contemporary fiction anyway so it's probably not my back.
