The Benefits of Playing Sports When Young

It's amazing when athletes take these one week, they take this one week off, they come back mentally so much stronger as well. There's pretty good evidence from a number of different retrospective sort of survey studies that people who played ball sports before they came into military practice or military training had a much lower risk of bone stress injury. We're looking comparing the bone health of those who played basketball, soccer, and other sports when they were young versus those who just ran. And it's pretty interesting what we're finding in terms of differences in bone size and bone strength.
