I Like the Concept of Data Reconnaissance
I like the term data reconnaissance. It really communicates what it is about. And yeah, there has been quite a few papers lately about this idea of recommending plots and I agree that it seems to be especially useful at the beginning if you just want to know what's in here exactly. What is next? So there were 10 zillion other papers, but we should probably talk about some of the other stuff as well, like maybe a few panels. Yeah. One of the ones I liked a lot was on integrating research and products.

Finally, this year we managed to record another classic episode from the IEEE VIS Conference (we recorded a total of 10 with this one!) We have Data Stories’ friend Prof. Tamara Munzner with us to talk about the conference and to highlight a few things she picked from the many events that happened over this week-long event.
