Faith is located in the sphere of interpersonal relationships. For many catholics, there's almost this war between an external manifestation of the sacramental life of the church and an interior, fiery faith. And so people feel this interior like, well, i'm a real disciple. The sacraments must not do anything. If you have all these fake me, because i was fake and went to mass every so often, and my life wasn't changed. There's no place for that in the church.
