The Carrying Capacity of Humans
Malthus predicted in 19 thirties, that humankind would reach the tipping point where famine would proliferate across the globe. Malthus made his prediction based upon a rigorous mathematical analysis of the growth of human population. But we know knowledge can continue to grow if people continue to solve problems as we always have. It's what we're best at. We are universal problem solvers. No one can predict what new scientific discoveries to morrow will bring. That would be prophecy.
