What's Going on in the Louisville Police Department?
LZ: The Louisville Police Department has spent the last two and a half years plus bringing in its own consultants, doing a top to bottom assessment. LZ: They're trying to get ahead of this to fix it because we cannot lose in this conversation. There's nothing in the DOJ report about the crime levels. It just says there's poverty and problems, but police are disproportionately active in that area. Their world's record for murder was 117 murders for 650,000 people. That went to 160 and then 170 and 117 of those were black people.
