Ibn Batuta's Journeys
Ibn Batuta's travels were unknown to much of the world until the 1800s. He was a Sunni Muslim and followed a practice called Sufism, which is often called Islamic mysticism. Scholars have found near verbatim sections in Ibn Batuta's writings that come from other earlier travelers. With that in mind, understand that Ibn Batuta will really venture outside what I'll call the Islamic world.
