Is the Language Model Really Intelligent?
The ability to predict the capabilities of AI systems has been demonstrated again and again to be really bad. It's not terribly hard to write software, but a symbolic math that is very much more powerful than any human could ever be. But at the same time, we also been wrong about things not being doable. The language models are just predicting strings of tokens, but we're doing it so well,. Even people in robotics have started to use them for internal communication and planning.
