You need to be able to create rich content that is extremely valuable entertaining informational opinion orientated. But you also need to have a platform where they can connect with you on a deeper level so you need a community building platform. The main three types there are for you to choose from are going to be video podcasting, video or audio and then written which is generally going to come in the form of a blog.
