Blancheau's Ascetic Ideal
Blancheau's writings give the sense of him being a 20th century entirely secular, atheistic or ascetic and kind of saint in a way. Was that one of these sort of shop and harry and ascetic? He ended up in this sort of ascetic ideal or was this simply for Blancheau? There wasn't an ideal behind this figure that he'd amounted to physically. And when you read him, you gain this impression of someone who is very gaunt, very somber and often ill.
