The problem is as much on the shoulders of the college s an universities, but it behooves them to turn a blind eye. Starting next year, here's what we're gong to require for or our incoming freshmen. We are not going to look at standardized tests, because they don't measure the things that really matter. If you want to come to our school, you must have at least one semester of personal finance so that you are educated on how to manage your money.

1. If you are a young person, or a parent of a young person. Flip the script on the status quo. If a person is going to go on college, community colleges are a great option. Do an internship or apprenticeship that won’t put them in tens of thousands of dollars in debt.
