The Effect of Methodological Rigorous Data on Personality Characteristics
The Simpson effect is the statistical weird phenomenon that a person's personality characteristics might look like they're positive, really positively related. But if you have multiple time points per person, the relationship between these personality characteristics could be exactly opposite of what it looked like in a large group. Most research looks at trait level rather than state level because most researchers compare people to people.
