Ganying travelled for what must have been many months, down the hurshi corridor and across the shifting sands of the takla makan desert. He would have traversed the arid lands of pachestan and passed the snow capped peaks of iran. Finally, he reached the frontier of the great empire of darchin, an empire that we know by the more familiar name of rome. Later, gan ying wrote down everything he had learned about this exotic empire.
