Gamergate - A Prank or a Prank?

In 2014, things on the internet rather suddenly boiled over into the cultural phenomenon known as gamergate. There has not yet been a great deal of research into whether or not there was an organized attempt by the white power movement to co-opt gamergate. But there is ample evidence that the ideas of that movement quickly made it into popular memes spread by gamergators. It's clear at this point that some white power talking points had started to mutate to better appeal to modern and online youths.
