The Parallel Experience of Spiritual Abuse and Religious Trauma

In addition to the genetic component of the way that I've inherited a lot of really messed up genes from both sides of my family that predisposed me to disease. It's been my diseases that have actually woken me up to how I am already loved by God and that my body has very wise things to say about my environment. And in the church in spiritual abuse and religious trauma, that is the very same thing that's happening. The institution attacks its own members and its own health.
