The Incentive Structure of Advertised Based Media

The incentive structure of advertised based media is such that the reader is just not the customer. The tech industry and the advertisers in that tec eco system are the customer. This is why memberships are a big deal for our show, because it means our largest customer, our most important customer as a business, is our audience. It gives us the lee way to work with other advertisers and pick the right ones. But it doesn't mean we have to, right? That's the difference.
