Is It Super Dark as Pinocchio?

The original Pinocchio was darker than the Disney version. Guillermo del Toro's monster design is so, you know, if it was me, I'd be like this is a fun kid story with a lot of dark elements. Exactly. And then you're in the Hall of Uncanny Valley.
