Anne of green gables and her friend were awakened by a small visitor. The little girl demanded to know who they were, before Anne confessed that she had jumped into bed on them in the night. Anne said it was all Diana's fault for not having been more ladylike about such things as sleeping with another woman. She then asked if diana could have her music lessons after being cross at her once again. "If you must be cross with any one, be cross with me," anne replied.
