I really wrestle with the fact that a lot of the attention that my writing has gotten or building a business around writing. Being an author to me is writing things that really challenge the way that people think. And asking questions in society, that's like the meaning of art. It's those classic, really just incredibly intelligently written books. That's my measure for success.
