How Do We Teach Our Children Emotions?

A big part of my book is about how we teach our children emotions. And i think we do that in many different ways, including making them feel proud and self-confident. There are cultures where children are taught to feel ashamed or aware of themselves. In enlarged parts of the us, feeling good about yourself is a good especially middle class wite. But it spreads more broadly. Feeling good about yourself as a kid is really a model emotion. That's how you should be. We encourage our kids to feel good.
