VA ECMO for Left Ventricular Failure
Janelle and I talked about VA ECMO a little bit, but just due to the flow of the editing, it's probably better. So for folks who aren't familiar, we're going to do drainage just before the right atrium or actually with the tip in theright atrium. We're going to suck it to a centrifugal pump, send it through a membrane lung and then back retrograde up the aorta through the iliac artery. This has its role in cardiogenic shocks primarily in biventricular failure or a patient who is peri arrest or actually in arrest because we could crash a patient onto VA ECMO very quickly compared to some of these
