With ferguson, and this came up again and again, it mattered who was telling the story. I think that our lived experiences can either illuminate other people's, or they can be blinders. Wesley lowery was close to the story, and he says that was a good thing. And so our own proximity is in large part what determines how we prioritize what stories we tell and what stories we don't tell.
