How to Maximise Your Training Load?

A lot of people assume that your goal is to maximise your training load. But it's not all this the case either, as you'll accumulate intensity over a longer session. You can choose whether you do a five minute maximum effort or a 20 minute maximum effort. They're both likely to be equally valuable. It's easier to deceive ourselves with a long session because we've probably accumulated some bits along the way that are worth while.
