The Children of Zion Come to Zion, Says the Lord
As the nations come to zion, they are turning her lost children with them. They are also bringing tribute with them, kingly gifts for jerusalem and her temple. This should remind us of the earlier account of the children's return in chapter forty nine verses, 18 23. Lift up your eyes around and see they all gather. They come to you as i live, declares the lord. You shall put them all on as an ornament. Surely now you will be too narrow for your inhabitants. Those who swallowed you up will be far away. The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears, the place is too narrow for me. Make room for me to dwell in
