How to Keep Up Your Technical Competence

I wouldn't necessarily worry too much about being able to prove every day that you are technically kind of super. I'm not for one second saying that as an engineering manager you should not know sort of broadly the trends or broadly you know or have a good understanding of what technologies your team are using. It depends on the it depends on sort of where the motivation of this question comes from to a certain sense I guess but my take on it would be  that's not when you're there forYou're there to help your team who are meant to be technically super competent in all those new technologies succeed.
