Nita says belief in the freedom of one's will is actually a product of aristocratic morality. He sources this to the upper classes, the nobility, people who had power. This has a sense to it, because these are people who experienced making decisions and reaping the consequences that followed. But on the other hand, as he points out, in human all too human this is a trick of language. We're taking motive and intention and reafying it into being the origin of the action.
