Ira's Story
In 1966, the 26-year-old returned to California to find a hippie movement in full swing. Later that year, he returned to Philadelphia yet again to teach at a radical new school called Free University. While he taught about peace and love, he struggled with familiar demons behind closed doors. Just like with Rita, Ira saw Judy as a long-term lover and potentially a lifelong partner. He became controlling early on.
